Your daily command centre for collection priorities, ageing debt, and team performance.
Overview
The Credit Control Dashboard gives you an immediate operational picture of your accounts receivable function. At the top, four gateway scorecards surface the most urgent actions: accounts in the collection queue, unallocated payments waiting to be matched, promises to pay due today (with a count of broken promises), and open disputes. A Today's Progress bar beneath them summarises what the team has already achieved today. The lower half of the dashboard shows two side-by-side panels: Ageing Analysis (a breakdown of outstanding debt by age band, each band linking through to the full ageing report) and Performance Snapshot (key metrics — customer count, DSO, promise success rate, average payment days — plus a collection rate donut chart). Use the DashboardFilter in the top-right to switch between the manager view (whole portfolio) and a named individual's portfolio. Use the Refresh button in the top-left to reload all widget data on demand.

User Guide
Getting Started
The dashboard is the default landing page — click the logo or the home icon in the left navigation to return to it at any time. No configuration is needed. Data loads automatically when the page opens. If figures look outdated, click the Refresh button on the left of the header controls row to force a data reload.
How do I access the dashboard?
Click the logo or the home icon at the top of the left navigation panel.
The dashboard is the default page when you log in. If you have navigated away, click the home icon to return.
The page loads with live data automatically. All four scorecards, the progress bar, and both panels load immediately.
Tip: If you see stale figures, click the Refresh button to force a data reload.
How do I read the Today's Priorities scorecards?
Look at the four cards under the "Today's Priorities" heading.
Collection Queue shows how many customer accounts are in the active collection queue and the total outstanding value. Click the card to open the Collection Queue.
Unallocated Payments shows how many receipts are waiting to be matched and their total value. Click the card to open the Receipts page filtered to unallocated.
Promises Due Today shows how many promises fall due today, plus a count and value of broken promises. Click the card to open the Promises page filtered to due today.
Tip: Check the broken promises figure first thing each morning — they need immediate follow-up calls.
Disputes shows the count and total value of unresolved disputes. Click the card to open the Disputes page filtered to active.
How do I check today's progress?
Look at the summary line beneath the four scorecards.
It shows: payments allocated (count and total amount), promises kept (count), and cases resolved (count).
These figures update each time you refresh the dashboard. Use them in team stand-ups to track daily throughput.
How do I use the Ageing Analysis panel?
Find the Ageing Analysis card on the left of the lower section.
Each row shows an age band label, the outstanding amount, its percentage share, and a proportional colour bar.
Note: Band labels and colours are configured by your system administrator. The bar width is proportional to the largest band, not the total.
Click any band row to open the Ageing Analysis report pre-filtered to that band.
Tip: Click the band with the largest amount to immediately see which customers are contributing most to that age bucket.
Click "See your ageing debt" at the bottom to open the full Ageing Analysis report without any band filter.
How do I read the Performance Snapshot?
Find the Performance Snapshot card on the right of the lower section.
The Key Metrics row shows: Customers (total active accounts), DSO (Days Sales Outstanding vs target), Promise Success (% kept with a kept/total breakdown), and Avg Payment Days.
Note: If the DSO target looks wrong, ask your system administrator to check the settings.
The Collection Rate donut chart below shows the % of cash collected this month against the total cash due.
Hover over the ⓘ icon next to "Collection Rate" to see the exact calculation: collected amount, total due, and target %.
Tip: If Collection Rate is below target, check whether a large payment is sitting in Unallocated Payments — unmatched receipts are not counted as collected until allocated.
How do I view a specific person's portfolio?
Click the filter dropdown in the top-right of the header controls row (defaults to "Manager view").
Select a named individual from the list.
A blue banner appears beneath the header confirming whose portfolio you are viewing.
All four scorecards, the progress bar, Ageing Analysis, and Performance Snapshot update to show only that individual's assigned accounts.
To return to the full portfolio view, click the X on the blue banner, or select "Manager view" from the filter dropdown.
How do I refresh the dashboard data?
Click the Refresh button on the left side of the header controls row.
Tip: The page does not auto-refresh. Click Refresh after completing a collection action to confirm the figures have updated.
Pro Tips
Open the dashboard on a second monitor during team stand-ups — the Today's Priorities scorecards and Today's Progress bar give you a live view without preparing a separate report.
If the Unallocated Payments count is high first thing, allocate payments before making collection calls — customers may already have paid and the figures will look worse than they are until matched.
Use the DashboardFilter to switch between individual credit controllers during a review session without leaving the dashboard.
A rising DSO figure over consecutive weeks usually means a small number of large accounts are paying late — cross-reference with the highest Ageing Analysis band to identify them.
If Collection Rate is below target, hover over the ⓘ icon on the donut chart to see the exact amounts. A large gap often traces back to a batch of unallocated receipts.
FAQ
How often does the dashboard data update? Data loads fresh when you open or navigate to the dashboard. It does not auto-refresh while the page is open. Click the Refresh button to reload all widget figures at any time.
Can I click through from a scorecard to the underlying records? Yes — all four Today's Priorities scorecards are clickable. Collection Queue → /collections/queue. Unallocated Payments → /payments/receipts filtered to unallocated. Promises Due Today → /collections/promises filtered to due today. Disputes → /disputes filtered to active.
What does DSO mean? DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) is the average number of days it takes to collect payment after an invoice is raised, calculated as (Accounts Receivable ÷ Total Revenue) × Number of Days. A rising DSO means customers are taking longer to pay.
What does the Collection Rate donut chart show? The Collection Rate is the percentage of cash collected this month relative to the total cash due (cash collected ÷ total cash due). Hover the ⓘ icon to see the exact amounts.
Why are the ageing band names different from what I expected? Ageing band labels and colours are configured server-side by your system administrator. They reflect your organisation's specific ageing configuration.
What is the difference between "Manager view" and selecting an individual? "Manager view" shows data aggregated across the whole portfolio. Selecting a named individual filters every widget to show only the accounts assigned to that person.
Why does the Promises Due Today card show broken promises? The secondary value shows both the count and value of broken promises — promises where the customer committed to paying by today but no matching payment has been received. This signals how many need a follow-up call.
What does Today's Progress show? A live summary of work completed since midnight: payments allocated (count and value), promises kept (count), and collection cases resolved (count). Updates each time you refresh.
How do I navigate to a specific module from the dashboard? Click any of the four Today's Priorities scorecards, click a band row in the Ageing Analysis panel, or use the left navigation panel to open any module manually.
