A team-level view of collection case status, weekly collection trends, promise reliability, and individual collector performance — all filterable by team member, date range, and currency.
Overview
The Collections Dashboard is designed for collections managers and team leads. It shows how many cases are in each status (Active, Promised, Escalated, On Hold, Closed this month), how much has been collected week by week over a chosen period, how reliably the team's promises to pay are being honoured, and how each credit controller is performing against their caseload. Use it to identify workload imbalances, spot promise reliability problems, and track whether collection activity is trending up or down over time.

User Guide
Getting Started
Navigate to Collections → Dashboard in the left navigation. The page defaults to Everyone and the last 90 days. If you manage a specific team, use the Team Member dropdown to scope the view, or leave it on Everyone to see the full team position.
How do I check the team's current case position?
Review the five status cards at the top: Active, Promised, Escalated, On Hold, and Closed this month.
Each card shows a count (number of cases) and a total value in your company's base currency.
Note: The Closed this month card always shows cases closed in the current calendar month regardless of the Date Range filter.
Click any card to navigate to the Collections Queue pre-filtered to that status.
Tip: If a Team Member filter is active, the queue navigation carries that filter through — you land on the queue already scoped to that person's cases.
How do I scope the dashboard to a single credit controller?
Click the Team Member dropdown in the top-right area of the header.
Select a credit controller's name from the list, or select Everyone to return to the full-team view.
Note: Your selection is saved to local storage and persists between sessions.
All five status cards, the trend chart, the promise donut, and the promises table update immediately.
Note: The Team Overview section always shows all team members regardless of this filter.
How do I change the date range for trend and promise data?
Click the date range button in the header (shows the current period).
A two-month calendar popover opens. Click a start date, then click an end date.
Tip: For a month-by-month comparison, set the range to exactly one calendar month — the weekly chart will then show only that month's weeks.
Click outside the popover to close it. The trend chart, promise donut, and promises table update.
Note: The five status cards always show the live current position and are not affected by the date range filter.
How do I change the currency for dashboard amounts?
Click the Currency dropdown in the header.
Type to search or scroll the list, then click a currency to select it.
All monetary values across the dashboard update immediately — KPI card values, trend chart amounts, promise donut totals, promises table amounts, and Team Overview figures.
Note: Unlike the Team Member filter, the Currency filter also affects Team Overview.
How do I read the Weekly Collections Trend chart?
Scroll to the Weekly Collections Trend card. Review the three summary metrics above the chart.
The Trend figure shows the % change between the last two data points. Green = the most recent week collected more; red = less.
Note: Trend shows — when there are fewer than two data points in the selected range.
Hover any data point to see the exact week number and amount collected that week.
The Y-axis values are in thousands (e.g., "50K" means £50,000).
How do I understand the Promise Breakdown donut?
Scroll to the Promise Overview section. The donut chart shows promise status distribution as percentages within the selected date range.
Each segment colour corresponds to a promise status: Active, Closed, Broken.
Note: A high Broken percentage relative to Closed indicates customers are not honouring their commitments.
Hover a donut segment to see the invoice count and total value for that status.
How do I review individual credit controller performance?
Scroll to the Team Overview section. Each credit controller appears as a card showing: Active cases, Collected, Outstanding, and Closed counts.
Compare Collected and Outstanding across team members to identify where the most value is sitting unrecovered.
Note: The Team Member filter at the top does not affect Team Overview — it always shows all team members.
Click View cases → on any member's card to open the Collections Queue filtered to their Active cases.
Review the totals bar at the bottom for a team-wide summary.
Pro Tips
Keep the Team Member filter on Everyone and scan the Team Overview section first each morning. The member with the highest Outstanding and lowest Collected ratio needs the most attention.
Set the Date Range to the current week on Monday morning. The Weekly Trend chart will build day by day, giving you a live view of whether the team is on track against last week's average.
A rising Broken percentage in the Promise Breakdown donut is an early warning sign. Drill into the Promises to Pay table and contact those customers the same day the promise date passes — response rates drop sharply after 48 hours.
Use the View cases → link on a credit controller's Team Overview card immediately after spotting a high active-case count to see whether any are overdue for contact.
FAQ
What does the Active case count on the status cards include? Active cases are collection cases with a status of Active in the Collections Queue — cases currently being worked and not On Hold, Escalated, or Closed.
What does the Closed this month card show? Count and total recovered value of cases moved to Closed status during the current calendar month. Not affected by the Date Range filter.
How does the Trend percentage get calculated? The percentage change between the last two weekly data points. If the most recent week collected £120,000 and the previous week collected £100,000, the trend shows +20%.
Why does the donut chart show no data? The Promise Breakdown donut is empty when there are no promises recorded within the selected date range for the selected team member. Try widening the date range or switching to Everyone.
Can I drill into the data behind the Weekly Collections Trend chart? Not directly from the chart. Navigate to the Collections Queue and filter by date range and status to see the individual cases contributing to a week's figure.
How do I filter the Promises to Pay table to show only Broken promises? Click View all → in the Promises to Pay card header. On the Promises page, open the Status filter and select Broken.
What does the Team Member filter affect? It scopes the five status cards, the Weekly Collections Trend chart, the Promise Breakdown donut, and the Promises to Pay table to that person's data. Team Overview always shows all team members.
Can I export the Collections Dashboard data? There is no export button on this page. Navigate to the Collections Queue and use the Export function there. For promise data, go to Collections → Promises.
